Was school bus driver drunk?

Bensalem police confirmed today that they are investigating a crash between a township school bus and stopped vehicle on June 15.

No children were on the bus and no one was injured, but the bus driver "exhibited signs of intoxication" after the 4 p.m. crash on Knights Road near Street Road, police said in a statement.

"The driver was later taken for a blood test to determine the amount of alcohol in the driver's system," the statement said, without indicating when the results would be available.

Police said they would not release any names while the investigation is under way.
