Police say that bandits in South Jersey have been paying for pizza with fake dough. Authorities in Vineland are searching for several suspects who have paid pizza deliverymen with counterfeit $100 bills.

The most recent incident occurred on Sunday; the other two took place on Dec. 5. In one case, ink on one of the bills ran after getting wet. The paper appeared different from that of real currency. Some of the bills were smudged, too.

2TWO SUSPENDED IN MISTAKEN INMATE RELEASE

The Delaware County prison mistakenly released yet another inmate - meaning seven inmates have been released by accident this year, including an alleged killer who was let go in June.

The latest inmate to be released was alleged burglar Christianus Felten, who was accidentally released last week when an employee of the George W. Hill Correctional Facility didn't properly read Felten's paperwork. He was back in jail the following day. Two prison employees have been suspended as a result of the snafu. The prison is run by New Jersey-based Community Education Centers.

COPS: TEEN LIED ABOUT RAPE

The police Special Victims Unit said yesterday that a 15-year-old girl who said that she was kidnapped at knifepoint Monday from the Frankford Transportation Center, then raped in a house, admitted Monday night that she made it up.

Sgt. Robert Sutula said that the girl had actually been "out with a male acquaintance. . . . During her interview, she recanted her report of the rape."

Sutula said that police "looked into her story and, during her interview, she decided she better come clean.

She was out with somebody that she knew and . . . she needed to come up with an excuse of where she was at the time," he said.

HOMICIDE VICTIM IDENTIFIED

Police yesterday identified the man killed inside a rowhouse on Collom Street near Lena, in East Germantown, on Monday morning as Kahlith Bundy, 19. Bundy was found with a single gunshot wound to his head at 3:29 a.m., police said.

NOT-GUILTY PLEA IN BABY KILLINGS

Michele Kalina, 44, who was charged with killing five newborns and keeping their remains in a closet of her Reading apartment, entered not-guilty pleas yesterday to criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and other charges.

Kalina was arrested in August after her husband and daughter discovered the remains in the family apartment in Reading. Investigators say that Kalina killed the infants between 1996 and 2010 to cover up extramarital pregnancies.
