Woman sex offender charged with assault on boy, 14

A Lansdale woman convicted in February of indecent assault on a minor eight years ago has been arrested and charged with engaging in intercourse with a 14-year-old boy.

A Lansdale woman convicted in February of indecent assault on a minor eight years ago has been arrested and charged with engaging in intercourse with a 14-year-old boy.

Erica Dillon, 31, of the 800 block of Walnut Street, was awaiting sentencing on charges of indecent assault and child endangerment in the first case when she had sex with the boy April 5 in the bedroom of her home, police said.

Her live-in boyfriend, Antonio Morano, 28, allegedly watched. The boy had come to the house to visit Morano, his former neighbor. Police said Morano showed the boy a pornographic video on a computer.

The second sexual encounter came to light April 15 when the boy's mother went to Dillon's home to confront her about the incident.

Lansdale police responded to a report of a disturbance and began investigating. According to an affidavit of probable cause, officers learned that Dillon had been convicted in February for the 2002 indecent assault on a 5-year-old family member and was out on $50,000 bail.

Since a repeat offense violated the terms of her plea, authorities Friday moved for an increase in bail. They also filed a second set of charges, including indecent assault, corruption of a minor and related offenses in the April 5 incident.

"This is really unusual," said Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman. "Sometimes we see sex offenders do their time, and repeat the offense. But it's unusual only a few weeks after conviction to have the offender doing it again."

At an arraignment Saturday, Dillon was ordered held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $250,000 cash bail.

Law enforcement officials also arrested Morano on Friday and charged him with showing obscene material to a minor and corruption of a minor. He was ordered held at the Montgomery County prison after failing to post $10,000 cash bail.

Because of her conviction, Dillon is entered on Megan's List, a registry of sexual offenders in Pennsylvania.
