A 35-year-old man found shot dead in a car in North Philadelphia has been identified as a neighborhood resident.

A 35-year-old man found shot dead in a car in North Philadelphia has been identified as a neighborhood resident.

Police say Hassain Griffin was shot in the head and left side following an unspecified argument while sitting in an Oldsmobile Alero on the 1400 block of North 23rd Street Sunday night.

Griffin lived around the corner on the 2400 block of Sharswood Street.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Court records show that Griffin was scheduled to appear in court April 9 for violating his probation.

Griffin pleaded guilty last July to indecent assault and corruption of minors.

According to court records, he was to receive intensive outpatient treatment as a sex offender and to seek and maintain employment as part of his probation.
