Pick zoo baby’s name: Batu, Kadoa or Anoano?

The Philadelphia Zoo needs a name for its new baby orangutan and is asking the public for help.

The Zoo has selected three possible names for the baby female born Oct. 2 - Batu (islands off the coast of Sumatra), Kadoa (small gift) and Anoano (blessing) - and wants you to vote for one.

Those voting will be entered in a contest that is sponsored by the Zoo and PECO and ends Nov. 26.

Cast your vote at the zoo's Web site, www.philadelphiazoo.org .

The baby's mother is 17-year-old female Tua, who came to Philadelphia from Zoo Atlanta and her father is Sugi, 13, who was born at the Saint Louis Zoo.
