A home invasion that led to the abduction of a man early yesterday in Kingsessing was a targeted attack, police said.
A 19-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were sleeping in separate rooms of a home on 52nd Street near Kingsessing Avenue about 1:30 a.m. when four armed men burst into the house, said a supervisor at Southwest Detectives.
The intruders tied up both victims and took the man with them, leaving the woman behind unharmed, police said.
The abducted man was found outside some time later on Master Street near Lancaster Avenue, about 2 1/2 miles from the home, police said.
He had nonlife-threatening injuries to his head and face and was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was treated and released, police said.
The police supervisor said the house appeared to have been targeted by the four, though he did not elaborate.
Descriptions of the intruders were not immediately available, and police did not identify the victims.
