A tractor-trailer involved in a westbound six-vehicle crash that snarled traffic on the Schuylkill Expressway Tuesday morning is being inspected for mechanical deficiencies, state police said yesterday.
Police said a 1998 Freightliner was between Gladwyne and Conshohocken when it struck a Volkswagen Passat and a Mazda pickup in the left lane and an Infiniti in the right. The pickup struck the rear of a Chevrolet Tahoe, which rear-ended a Dodge Caravan, pushing it into a Buick LeSabre. Two drivers sustained minor to moderate injuries. - Kathleen Brady Shea
