A man with four previous DUI convictions abandoned his pickup truck and a boat trailer when he was involved in a crash over the weekend, Delaware State Police say.
Troopers found Thomas Albanese, 48, hiding in bushes following the crash Saturday afternoon in Millsboro and determined he was drunk again, police said.
Albanese, of Lewes, was charged with Fifth Offense DUI, which is a felony, as well as leaving the scene of a crash, driving while suspended, failure to have insurance and expired tags.
He was released on a $6,900 unsecured bond yesterday morning.
