Homeless man sought in Chesco knife attack

On Saturday morning, a 44-year-old homeless man apparently became angry during a visit to an East Goshen Township home, grabbed two butcher knives, and stabbed a man in the hand, police said this morning.

Police are now searching for Daniel F. Clark Jr., who is wanted on a felony warrant for attempted homicide, aggravated assault and related offenses, said Det. William Cahill of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening, Cahill said.

Cahill said Clark, who is believed to be armed, has ties to Delaware County and may be hiding there. Court records show that Clark has lived in Havertown and Eddystone. His criminal history includes assault, drug, and alcohol offenses, court records said. In July 2003, he was ordered to spend 21 to 42 months in prison for an aggravated assault charge, records said.

Clark is described as a 150-pound, 5-foot-4, white male with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Chester County Police Radio at 610-692-5100.
