Police are searching for a man who robbed a Citizens Bank branch in Logan yesterday morning.
The man entered the bank on Broad Street near Ruscomb about 11:35 a.m., presented a demand note to a teller and made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The man is described as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9, medium build, dark complexion, full beard, wearing a light-colored or white baseball cap, sunglasses, and a white T-shirt.
Tipsters are asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000.
He pleads guilty in gun case
A fired airline worker pleaded guilty in federal court yesterday to helping a friend get an unloaded gun on a plane.
Roshid Milledge, 38, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and faces a possible six-month prison term but will seek probation.
The FBI has said Milledge's roommate Darien Young was moving to Phoenix and wanted to bring the gun with him.
Young boarded the flight with the concealed 9 mm pistol in his bag. The plane left the gate but was called back so authorities could remove Young, who also pleaded guilty in the case.
Guilty plea in pastor sex case
Paul Marmon, 63, a retired pastor from South Whitehall Township, Pa., accused of sexually propositioning a 15-year-old girl over the Internet, pleaded guilty Thursday in Montgomery County Court. Prosecutors say Marmon posed as a 19-year-old man and requested nude photos and underwear from the teen. Officials say Marmon also left presents for her at a park near her home in Montgomery County and asked if he could buy underwear for her.
Cops lay siege on robbers
An Upper Darby neighborhood was under siege yesterday morning as three Philadelphia gunmen flubbed a robbery on Wingate Road, then climbed onto the roof of an adjoining house, police said.
They were taken into custody after a prolonged standoff that drew the SWAT team and a helicopter from Delaware State Police, police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said. They face robbery and weapons charges.
No one was injured. *
