PennDot said yesterday that work to replace 1,074 curb cuts in Chester County will begin Monday.
The job is being funded by $4.4 million from the federal stimulus program. It is aimed at making the curbs comply with the accessibility requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Similar work in other Pennsylvania counties will be done in coming months.
At the start Monday, crews will work on High Street in West Chester. PennDot said the construction will cause intermittent lane restrictions from Rosedale Avenue to Marshall Street from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Tom Infield
