The woman, described as 17 to 20 years old, first struck at 11:45 a.m. at the Columbia Savings Bank, on Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Gloucester Township, Camden County, but a teller-in-training refused to hand over the cash and the woman fled, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.
"This woman was clearly a risk-taker, to commit three incidents in the span of an hour," said Jason Laughlin, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office. "There's a hint of desperation in so persistently pursuing a criminal enterprise as she did."
From Gloucester Township, the thin, unidentified black woman with orange and blond streaks in her hair allegedly drove to The Bank, on Route 73 in Berlin Township, Camden County, and handed the teller a note at 12:13 p.m, police said.
The woman, who was wearing a black-and-white-striped shirt and a brimmed cap, made her final appearance at a TD Bank branch in Evesham, Burlington County, at 12:50 p.m., authorities said.
The woman, who didn't show a weapon, left the last two banks with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.
They had no clear description of her car.
The prosecutor's office said the woman did not match the descriptions of any recent bank-robbery suspects.
