New Jersey State Police are investigating the apparent bludgeoning deaths of two farm workers discovered at a Burlington County farm on Saturday.

New Jersey State Police are investigating the apparent bludgeoning deaths of two farm workers discovered at a Burlington County farm on Saturday.

The men's bodies were reported found around 8:30 a.m. at the Sterling Chase Horse Farm, a racehorse breeding facility in Springfield Township, according to a state police spokesman.

Both suffered head trauma, the spokesman said. An autopsy has been scheduled and results are pending.

Police today are treating the deaths as possible homicides, according to the spokesman.

Officials have released few details about the victims, whose identities have not been made public. A source said that the men had worked for four years at Sterling Chase, which is operational year-round.

They were believed to be natives of Central America or northern South America. The police spokesman did not know their immigration status.
