Eagles tickets on sale Thurs. morning

At 10 a.m. Thursday, the feeding frenzy will begin.

Probably faster than 1,000 piranhas can gobble a million minnows, the Eagles will sell every remaining seat this season.

The Eagles won't say exactly how many seats will be up for grabs, but in the past the team has said the number is about a couple of thousand per game. Almost all of the other seats belong to season-ticket holders.

To order, fans have to order call Ticketmaster or use ticketmaster.com. No in-person sales are planned.

Each customer is limited to four tickets total - four for one game, two each for two games, for example. The cost is $65 to $90 per ticket, plus service charges.

Ticketmaster's Philadelphia number is 215-336-2000, but many fans know that line gets so jammed, they call other Ticketmaster numbers, even in other states.

To look up other phone lines, go to http://www.ticketmaster.com/h/orderbyphone.html.

Another basic tip: Fans planning to try ticketmaster.com are advised to sign up in advance so Ticketmaster has the proper credit card information. This speeds up the purchase process and lessens the chances of computer problems.

Ten games - two preason, eight regular season - will be on sale. Here's the schedule:

Preseason

Thursday, Aug. 14, 8 p.m., Carolina Panthers

Thursday, Aug. 28, 6:30 p.m., New York Jets

Regular season

Sunday, Sept. 7, 1 p.m., St Louis Rams

Sunday, Sept. 21, 4:15 p.m., Pittsburgh Steelers

Sunday, Oct. 5, 1 p.m., Washington Redskins

Sunday, Oct. 26, 1 p.m., Atlanta Falcons

Sunday, Nov. 9, 8:15 p.m., New York Giants

Thursday, Nov. 27, 8 p.m., Arizona Cardinals

Monday, Dec. 15, 8:30 p.m., Cleveland Browns

Sunday, Dec. 28, 1 p.m., Dallas Cowboys

Bye

No game the week of Oct. 19

Note that only four games - including the season finale against the Dallas Cowboys - will have a 1 p.m. Sunday start. The Thursday night Cardinals game is on Thanksgiving.

Eagles Carnival tickets on sale next Tuesday. The annual carnival and auction, which benefits the Eagles Youth Partnership, will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Lincoln Financial Field.

Buying in advance lets fans get discounts ($9 children, $14 adults instead of $13 and $21), reserve autographs of "high-profile players," and obtain tickets for locker-room tours and other special offerings. Long-snapper Jon Dorenbos will do a live magic show, just as he has done onstage in Las Vegas.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 24, at ticketmaster.com.

Eagles Academy for women still has tickets left. Spaces are still available in this weekend's program for female fans interested in upgrading their appreciation of football. As of this morning, more spaces were left for Sunday's session than for Saturday's, said marketing director Mike Malo.

The half-day sessions at the team's NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia includes film study with coaches in players' meeting rooms, fun activities on a playing field with an Eagles player, lunch in the players' cafeteria, and a gift bag with an autographed football.

Tickets are $85 each, plus a $7.50 service charge.
