In the last two years, The Philadelphia Police Department has lost three of its officers in the line of duty. Before Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski was fatally shot Saturday, Officer Chuck Cassidy was killed last November as he interrupted a robbery at a West Oak Lane Dunkin' Donuts. In May 2006, Officer Gary Skerski was slain when he responded to a robbery at Pat's Cafe in Frankford.
