The Alliance Francaise de Philadelphia will honor Derek Gillman, of Merion, president of the Barnes Foundation, with its Ambassador of the Arts Award at the annual Bastille Day dinner event.
The July 14 event will be held at the Independence Seaport Museum.
Nancy Gabel, of Wynnewood, vice president of the alliance and chair of the Bastille Day event, said a cocktail reception is planned for 7 p.m.
It will be followed by a buffet dinner staged by Brulee Catering and Chef Jean-Merie Lacroix.
There will be dancing under the stars with music by the Fred Hall Orchestra. Susan Gay, of Bryn Mawr, will be the vocalist.
There will be an open bar.
There will be a large silent auction. The alliance will raffle off two round-trip tickets to Paris on Delta-KLM-AirFrance-Alitalia.
