Tke a cultural tour of Europe as you visit with soldiers from German, Italian and Russian forces. Learn the similarities and differences in their arms during weapons demonstrations, test your strength and accuracy at the Stick Grenade Toss (Saturday, 3 PM) and interact with event participants as you complete the scavenger hunt and perhaps even learn a few words in the languages of the visiting armies. Enjoy guided tours (noon and 2 PM.) Tactical demonstrations will be viewed from atop the Fort walls at 1:30 PM each day.
Former Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell will lead the charge on Aug. 9, 2017, by firing the cannon at Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia. Actors, dignitaries and guests will also get the chance to fire-off a shot from the cannon as Patriots mingle with guests. Enjoy cocktails and live music as the sun sets over the Delaware River. Proceeds will go towards the production of Molly, a feature film about the legendary Molly Pitcher, which will be filmed in the Philadelphia area using many local actors and reenactors.The production team will be on hand to talk about the film, which highlights a woman's patriotic rebellion during the nation's fight for independence. They include writer and producer Brigette ReDavid, Director Jon Barden, Director of Photography Myron Parran, Line Producer Brian David Cange and Associate Producer Karin Knebl.
