      Legacy of Love Artist Ball
    • Saturday, October 21, 2017
    • On Saturday, October 21, 2017, The Conservatory for Arts & Music of Philadelphia(CAMP) will host their Legacy of Love Artist Ball at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. This event will recognize those who have shaped our artistic landscape and their impact in the arts. We want to celebrate the people that continue to transform our industry, which is felt in the classroom, the economy, and the community. The Conservatory for Arts & Music of Philadelphia has had a long tradition of providing arts programs for youth in our city with critical acclaim. We recognize that the after school and Saturday programs provide both freedom and a safe haven for families from potentially destructive influences. Also, we acknowledge childhood obesity due to inactive lifestyles is a major concern in the United States. Knowing the needs of our youth, CAMP utilizes the arts to provide children with exercises that are engaging and fun as well as providing a pre professional dance program for those youth who have a desire to pursue a dance education or career in dance. The Artist Ball is our black-tie gala celebration filled with fun, food, friends, and great entertainment. 2017 Honorees: Living Dance Legend, Choreographer, Teacher, Board of Director Eleone Dance Theatre Althea Leslie; Pastor and Bishop for Greater Community Bible Tabernacle Church, Musician, Film and Video Producer, Bishop Stacey Roberts; Senior Advisor - Multicultural Marketing at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and former Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Executive Director/COO, Richard Lee Snow; Arts and Entertainment Mogul, Founder Walt Reeder Entertainment, Walt Reeder Sr.; Radio Personality, News and Traffic Broadcaster, Lisa Fairfax. 2017 Planning Committee: Devon Allen, Bonnie Bing, Charmaine Green, Kenneth A.
