Learn to make your own natural lotions and masks from scratch. Join Linda Shanahan from Barefoot Botanicals as she shares simple, inexpensive and easy techniques for making spa-quality creams and lotions with only herbs, herbal waters and organic oils. Tired of being unable to understand the ingredients label on store-bought skincare products? Put in what you want and leave out what you don't! We'll be using herbs from Barefoot Botanicals' farm and other natural ingredients like olive oil, and beeswax. Everyone will leave with a one-to-two ounce glass container of fresh calendula lotion and a bag of a personalized blend of mask powder. Linda Shanahan and her husband Eric Vander Hyde operate Barefoot Botanicals, an organic farm in Doylestown, PA specializing in the production of fresh and dried medicinal and culinary herbs, aromatic plant distillations and herbal cocktail syrups. Linda has been studying and using medicinal plants for nearly two decades and feels lucky that she has figured out a way to spend most of her time growing, processing and making useful products with them. She believes that plants can provide a connection through which we can heal our fractured relationship with our beautiful planet.
