Style: The first major new restaurant to open in Manayunk in five years is a lively New Orleans-themed dining hall near the canal. It has the funky live bands and young drinking crowds of a Bourbon Street haunt, but the menu is a feeble parade of Big Easy cliches, heavy on alligator and frozen crawfish.
Specialties: Oyster sampler; alligator quesadillas; boudin fondue; catfish fingers; blackened redfish; rainbow trout; pecan pie.
Alcohol: WINE LIST: A 30-bottle list of generally affordable wines, most of them from California. A Spanish rioja from Lorinon ($34) is earthy enough to handle the New Orleans flavors. Otherwise, try a glass of Abita beer.
Smoking: Only Outside on patio
