The Welcome Center at Valley Forge

The whirlwind six-month renovation and transformation of the Visitors Center at Valley Forge has resulted in a Welcome Center which will significantly enhance the visitor experience. A new exhibit tells the story of the encampment using rare artifacts, weapons, and documents from historic collections. New amenities include “gathering spaces” for both recreational and historical visitors to relax, plan their visit and enjoy light refreshments. New landscaping and a mural “wrapped” around the building makes the exterior more appealing and inviting. Among the new features is a six-foot relief model of the Park to help both historical and recreational users plan their visit. The model shows the six miles of multi-use trails, ten miles of horse trails and the start of the Valley Forge-to-Philadelphia bike trail, along with the many historic features in the 3,600-acre park. Hours: The Welcome Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.SPECIAL FEATURES: A personal concierge will aid in your regional trip planning, restaurant and hotel reservations, directions, attraction information and transportation arrangements. Within the building, there are hundreds of brochures that highlight all types of regional attractions. Visitor amenities include:
