Traveling with your own refillable water bottle is a no-brainer, but choosing a good one requires attention to details. The bottle should be durable, lightweight, leak-proof, spacious enough to hold plenty of hydration, easy to clean, and composed of safe materials that won't leach harmful chemicals (such as BPA or phthalates) into your liquids.
The new Nomader Water Bottle is all that and collapsible, ingeniously rolling up from a 10.5-inch-tall by 2.9-inch-diameter, 25-ounce-capacity container to a diminutive pocketable packet.
Though it weighs only about 7 ounces, the Nomader is no lightweight when it comes to helpful features. The container's body is made of thick flexible and foldable food-grade BPA-free silicone rubber. The screw-on lid, drinking spout, and wide, 1.9-inch-diameter mouth are made of a rigid BPA-free polypropylene plastic, as is a 2-inch-high sliding sleeve that surrounds the soft silicone body and keeps the bottle from collapsing in your hand as you drink. The sleeve also makes the bottle a stand-up guy even when empty.
A hinged spout cover keeps dirt out between sips. Flick the cover up to drink, then snap it back over the spout, twisting the knob on top to seal the connection tight while on the go. An integrated wrist strap secures the bottle in folded position via a clip mechanism.
Did we mention that the Nomader is freezable and dishwasher-safe, and comes in 11 colors, from bright blue, purple, or pink to army green, muted gray, or white? Add ice cubes for extra chill factor.
