Where is Africa's lowest topographical point?

Answer: Lake Assal, Djibouti. The lake, which is about four miles wide and 12 miles long, is about 512 feet below sea level. The tiny country of Djibouti is on the Gulf of Aden in East Africa and borders Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia.
