Protect your best friend's paws when out exploring

Your dog may eagerly scamper wherever you do, but his paws can become cracked and infected just like yours on particularly challenging surfaces. An extended outing on really hot pavement or sand, icy or salted sidewalks, or sharp rocky terrain can cause more injury than most humans realize. That's where Alcott's Dog Adventure Boots can be your dog's second-best friend. These tough booties (four to a package, obviously), have thick rubber soles for protection and traction, and double Velcro closures with reflective accents for night visibility. Your dog will take to these like . . . well, like a dog takes to boots, so, OK, you'll likely need some patience and practice to get canine cooperation. My Australian shepherd, Spirit, was not an easy sell, but after some gnawing, rubbing, whining, and seriously questioning looks, she did the dog equivalent of a shrug and relented (the steady supply of treats helped). Alcott Adventure dog boots come in three sizes: small (2.25-inch boot width), medium (2.5-inch width), and large (2.75-inch width) in a nice, subtle gray.
