Dog stolen outside Kensington drugstore

A man stole a woman's dog that was tied up outside of a store in Kensington, police said.

A man stole a woman's dog that was tied up outside of a store in Kensington on Monday morning, police said.

The pooch, a white-and-gray five-month-old pit bull, was stolen from outside a Rite Aid store on the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue around 11 a.m., police said.

The suspect, described as a bald, white or Hispanic man, can be seen on surveillance video untying the dog's leash from a pole, and then stuffing the dog into a nearby SUV.

Police ask that anyone with information call 215-686-TIPS.
