Banana Republic and Milly's Michelle Smith announced Monday morning the launch of a limited-edition collaboration line set to hit retail locations this summer.
The capsule's inspiration is the "summer sophistication of the Hamptons," and will include 16 menswear and 46 womenswear pieces. The line will meld Milly's signature style of vintage prints and Banana Republic's sophisticated, modern silhouettes. "It’s a very positive, happy collection and I think the colors and patterns really capture the modern spirit of summer," says Smith.
Prices will range from $45 to $175 for women's clothing and $24.50 to $64.50 for men's apparel. Accessories start at $39.50 to $130 for a tote.
Highlights are as follows:
- Features original designs that incorporate a new print created exclusively for the capsule as well as six beloved Milly prints that have been updated specifically for these collaborative designs
- Maxi dresses, mini-skirts, and shorts in a rainbow of on-trend colors, including lime, coral, and navy, to versatile poolside totes and summer scarves
- Menswear looks feature a lineup of striped and patterned separates, including bright polos, woven tees and shorts
The line will debut worldwide in May 2013.
