The 12 whoa! fashion moments of 2012

I'm loving this MM Couture bronze shimmer dress for $88. Its pleated skirt and demure, v-cut back is super chic for New Year's Eve or any holiday party. You can get this dress from Sugarcube located at in 126 N. 3rd Street in Old City. Pair it with black tights, platform pumps and a gold clutch.

2nd Stop

Across the street is the lovely Lost + Found, where you can pick up another pretty party dress by Miss Me Couture for only $88. It's blue jewel tone, light weight fabric has a sparkling, embellished belt that looks great with silver accessories. Located at 133 North 3rd street, Lost + Found is stocked with plenty of sweet dresses for day and night.

Lucky No. 3

Rittenhouse Square-based Aoki Boutique is a wonderful addition to the Center City shopping scene, located at 115 South 22nd Street. This surprisingly thick, lace dress by Lovers & Friends is not as revealing as it seems, just make sure you throw on your Spanx underneath. Priced at $158, the nude liner is a heavier, synthetic fabric that will keep you cinched in for the evening while you dance the night away!

4 for sure

Hop on over to Piper Boutique in University City for a gorgeous jacquard cocktail dress from Jack by BB Dakota for $68. The Carla dress has a bright brocade print and should be paired with some opaque tights, a sturdy wedge or stacked heel to hold down the heavier fabric. Piper Boutique is located on 130 South 34th Street and has a great collection of fun cocktail dresses by BB Dakota, Audrey 3+1, ArynK and much more!

Last but not least

The last dress I fell for was this Lovemarks leopard chiffon dress available at Kembrel Boutique in Center City-Rittenhouse section. It's only $60 and is the perfect day to night, winter to spring transition dress. The brown and black pattern has a slight shimmer, with a sleek peek-a-boo cut out to show off your shoulders. Kembrel is located on 1822 Chestnut Street, next to Boyd's.
