Gifted with quick wit and fabulous cooking skills, Anisa enjoys a lively discussion and the preparing and eating of a Jamaican-inspired meal. The 16-year-old hopes to travel there one day, because she finds the island and its people fascinating.
Anisa is proud of working hard in school, getting good grades, and making the honor roll. She is looking to the future and envisions a career as a registered nurse.
"I like helping people," she says. She is particularly passionate about helping the elderly. Anisa was thrilled to have the opportunity to visit a nursing school. The dean gave her a private tour, including classrooms and clinical settings. Anisa left the school more determined than ever to make this her career.
Anisa's social worker says she is kind and funny and makes you feel happy just being around her. She gets along well with adults and other teens and enjoys sharing her thoughts with them.
Anisa has a bright future, but she needs the support and encouragement of a patient, loving family to achieve her goals. Her vision of an ideal family for her would be one that talks about everything, celebrates family events, and shares her interest in cookouts.
Anisa and other children are available for adoption. For information, contact Anna Coleman at the National Adoption Center.
