Monday's Child: Miguel loves superheroes and turtles

Miguel describes himself as "cool and awesome." The 15-year-old is intrigued by anything and everything that involves superheroes, especially Ironman and Spider-Man. He also enjoys football, skateboarding, and drawing.

In the ninth grade, Miguel's favorite subject is art. He is doing very well in school and has received many compliments on his leadership skills. One of his teachers said he would make a great teacher. He has been showing his classmates how to take down and fold the flag.

Miguel loves animals, particularly turtles. He was thrilled to visit the Academy of Natural Sciences recently, where he checked out exhibits that included fossils, dinosaurs, and of course, turtles.

Miguel yearns to have a permanent family, a home where he will be cared for and would feel safe. He loves the attention of caring adults. Miguel likes being active and outdoors and would like a family he can do things with, such as going to an amusement park or an arcade, playing Monopoly, or watching movies. He does well with routine and structure and would thrive with a caregiver who would be a role model for him. It would be great if the family has a turtle.

Miguel and other children are available for adoption. For information, contact Paige Roller at the National Adoption Center.
