Monday's Child: Jade, 14, hopes to be a veterinarian

Friendly, playful, and easygoing, Jade is known for her great sense of humor. The 14-year-old loves animals and would love to travel to a jungle to explore it and see the different kinds of animals.

Friendly, playful, and easygoing, Jade is known for her great sense of humor. The 14-year-old loves animals and would love to travel to a jungle to explore it and see the different kinds of animals.

She hopes to be a veterinarian some day. If that doesn't work out, she has a back-up plan - pursuing a career in the entertainment field as a singer, dancer, or actress.

Jade is very compassionate and in tune to others' feelings. Among her many interests are reading adventure books, listening to all types of music, watching television, and crocheting. Like many teenage girls, she delights in having her hair done and getting manicures and pedicures. If Jade could have three wishes, they would be to have her own bedroom, spend a day at a spa, and have a PlayStation.

In the ninth grade, Jade benefits from special-education services. She loves to learn things. Her favorite subjects are math and science.

The ideal family for her would be patient, loving, and committed to helping her reach her potential. She should be the only child in the home. Jade is close to her siblings, and it is important that they remain in contact.

Jade and other children are available for adoption. For information, contact Paige Roller at the National Adoption Center.
