3 Steps: Stain stick to stain spray
I am pretty lazy when it comes to laundry. I very rarely iron and more times then I will admit I just take clean clothes out of the basket instead of folding them. I also have a 2 year old which means I am always covered in some sort of ooey-gooey or juice.
I found a stain stick that I really like but I wish it had the convenience of a spray. So I started tinkering (and Pinterest-ing) and found with only three super simple steps I can turn my stick into a spray.
What you need:
- Stain Stick (or laundry soap bar)
- Hot Water
- Empty Spray Bottle (I got mine at the dollar store)
Boil water (enough to fill your bottle) and leave it until it cools down enough to be hot but not scalding. While you wait for your water to cool down grate your stain stick. Start with one tablespoon of grated stain stick to one cup of water. You can always make the mixture more concentrated.
Put the grated stain stick into your spray bottle. You could use a funnel but I just stuffed the grated stick in there. It will be a little messy but when you clean the mess you also clean the table (bonus).
Add your hot water until the bottle is 3/4 full.
Shake your bottle until the stain stick dissolves. Tip – close the nozzle of the spray bottle before you shake or the pressure will shoot water everywhere. The mixture will have soap bubbles at the top but they will dissolved once the mixture settles.
There you have it! Super simple stain spray in only three simple steps.
