What if Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin had smartphones with them on the moon? What if Christopher Columbus could put a vintage photo filter over scenes from his historic journey?

Thanks to the hilarious new Tumblr, Histagram, now we know what these and other landmark moments in world history would have looked like if they’d been recorded on Instagram. See some of Histagram’s best hits so far below, and flip through all of them here.

Take for example the moon landing—the sights would’ve been so spectacular, none of Instagram’s filters would be necessary.
