MADISON, N.J. - Talented high school science students could get a free ride at one of New Jersey's top universities.
Drew University announced today it will offer free tuition to graduates of its summer science program.
The New Jersey Governor's School in the Sciences has been held at the Madison campus every summer since 1984. This August, 85 students completed the program and are now high school seniors.
Drew officials say the summer program's graduates often end up enrolling at larger research universities, and they want to reverse that trend.
Drew recently received more than $2 million in grants for the sciences and environmental studies.
