Website now allows you to see who is applying for your job
Ever wonder who you’re up against when applying for a job? You may be in luck.
Thanks to the launch of a recent tool from career website theladders.com, you can see the qualifications of every candidate who has applied for a job you're going for.
The tool, Scout, was created to give applicants a sense of what their chances are for landing a job and to let them know where they stand in line with their competition, according to an article on businessinsider.com.
Candidates can access a variety of information on their competition including years of experience, education level, compensation, and work history.
Rather than waiting around for an email and wondering if you're the right fit, you can use this tool to make assumptions about whether or not you'll need to keep looking for other jobs or if you think you're a strong candidate.
The website, which has more than 5 million users connecting to over 30,000 recruiters, is launching the tool slowly from now until April 1, businessinsider.com reports.
The tool can also be used for both salary negotiations and for figuring out the qualifications for your dream job. Even if you’re not applying for a specific job, you can still check out other jobs and see who is applying.
