It's the same question officials at the World Track and Field Championships in Berlin are trying to answer about Caster Semenya, an 18-year-old runner from South Africa.
Yesterday,
Semenya won gold in the 800 meters, decimating the field in a world-leading 1 minute, 55.45 seconds.
Semenya has come under scrutiny from many who say her insanely ripped body, deep voice and facial hair prove this gal is actually a guy.
According to the Associated Press, the IAAF is conducting genetic screening and physical tests due to "concerns she does not meet requirements to compete as a woman." Medals will be awarded for the 800, but the race remains under a cloud until the investigation is closed.
