Daryll Clark earned first-team honors from Big Ten.
The Big Ten conference released its annual football award recipients yesterday that featured a conference-high six Penn State players receiving first-team honors.

Senior defensive tackle Jared Odrick was named Defensive Player of the Year in voting by the conference head coaches and media panel. Odrick is the fourth Lion to win the honor in the past 12 seasons. An All-America candidate, he leads the Lions with six sacks and has 10 tackles for losses.

Along with Odrick, junior linebacker Navorro Bowman also was named to the first team.

Offensively, Penn State senior quarterback Daryll Clark was selected to the first team for the second consecutive year. Clark is just the 12th quarterback since 1950 to be selected to the first team multiple times, joining Tony Eason, Bob Griese, Chuck Long and current Saints QB Drew Brees (Purdue).

Along with Clark, four others were selected to the first-team offense: senior tackle Dennis Landolt, junior tailback Evan Royster and junior center Stefen Wisniewski.

Seniors Jeremy Boone (punter), Josh Hull (linebacker) and Sean Lee (linebacker) received second-team honors. Lee, a co-captain, missed last season with a torn ACL.

Six Lions earned honorable-mention recognition - sophomores Drew Astorino (safety), Jack Crawford (defensive end), D'Anton Lynn (cornerback), Derek Moye (wide receiver) junior defensive tackle Ollie Ogbu (defensive tackle), and senior Andrew Quarless (tight end).

The complete list of All-Big Ten teams can be found on www.GoPSUsports.com.
