Major league baseball
All time: May 1, 1920 - Brooklyn and host Boston's game is called a 1-1 tie after 26 innings. Leon Cadore of Brooklyn and Joe Oeschger of the Braves each pitched the full 26 frames.
Recently: May 8-9, 1984 - Harold Baines of the White Sox homered in the bottom of the 25th off Milwaukee's Chuck Porter as Chicago won, 7-6.
NBA
All time: Jan. 6, 1951 - Indianapolis beat Rochester, 75-73 in six overtimes. Two of the overtimes were scoreless and one was played with neither team taking a shot. Zzzzzzzzz.
Recently: Nov. 9, 1989 - Milwaukee outlasted Seattle in five overtimes, 155-154. The Sonics' Dale Ellis led all scorers with 53 points; 20 came after regulation.
NFL
All time: Dec. 25, 1971 - Garo Yepremian kicked a 37-yard field goal with 7:20 left in the second overtime as the Dolphins beat the Chiefs, 27-24 in a first-round playoff game.
Recently: Jan. 3, 1987 - Mark Mosley's 27-yard field goal four plays into the second overtime lifted the Browns over the Jets, 23-20, in a divisional playoff game. Cleveland's win set up an AFC Championship the following week against Denver and quarterback John Elway in a game that would be defined by "The Drive."
