Man falls to death in garage crash

A man died today after his car crashed out of a parking garage, plunging two stories.

According to authorities, the man drove through a pillar in the Parkway garage at 18th and Walnut just after noon today, crashing off the structure and falling into an alley below.

The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police do not know what caused the crash.

City inspectors will examine the parking garage to ensure its safety.
