Wheelchair-bound man falls onto SEPTA tracks
A man in a wheelchair fell onto rail tracks early this morning at Market East Station, but was pulled from the scene by a crew from the Philadelphia Fire Department, according to a SEPTA spokeswoman.
The incident occurred about 12:42 a.m. on the regional rail tracks. The man, 57, was rescued by 1:10 a.m. and his injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
SEPTA said it was not clear how the man fell onto the tracks, or if he was alone.
Police had no further information.
