Do the Eagles scare you so much you have to monitor Philly.com? Or doesn't anyone in New York talk about the New Jersey Giants?

dude, do you have a life? seriously, it's a holiday weekend, and you are looking out of your element for places to be a moron? I guess you had to get your post in by 7 before your mom's Internet curfew kicks in.

Giants 9 - 7, either Dallas (gasp!) or the Eagles win the east. Have fun with that, Filthadelphia - move back to North Jersey and enjoy the smell.............

I have one finger on each of my hands that the Giants can use, dweeb. Luck like that SB run last year comes around a couple of times a century, maybe. They'll be right back to sucking, and you know it. Oh, and nice punctuation and capitalization. I think...you know what I mean?

are you kidding me dude? are you just trying to get a response from someone? the giants last superbowl win was in the last decade right. and the decade before that. so i wouldn't act like its a dynasty. the giants will be lucky to make the playoffs this year.

So that's what you New York morons do: recycle your own posts on Philadelphia websites? Wow, you must do really good with the chicks up there in Jersey City with all that originality. Back to the point at hand (after again owning Filthadelphia the loser) I think they should have given McDougle a chance. I hope he goes somewhere and does well...and gets to play the Giants randomly and ends up crushing Eli's shoulder bone.

She used the same post earlier on another article. Let this please be the last response to this doo-shhh-bag. They are going to suck again, every one knows it, so let's get on with this Eagles season!

" I am not sure if the GIANTS have enough room on their fingers for another Superbowl ring?" Is that a question? You think 16-3 and 16-13 are slaughters? That's a question. The Giants defense is nothing without Strahan and Osi. So good luck. What I'm looking forward to is Eli's inconsistency.

How many more years will the Eagles carry Buckhalter on the roster before they actually get some worth out of him? Could make more sense to try out somebody who might actually do something useful, somebody who might be a surprise instead of a known mediocrity, not that Reid cares about running backs.

I am not sure if the GIANTS have enough room on their fingers for another Superbowl ring? 5 defensive starters gone, two that had 1/2 of the total sacks...keep drinkin' the Kool-Aide. The G-ants will return to their rightful place at 8-8!!!

ATP-Reid does care about his running backs...Who is the best player on our team who just got a raise? With how much the second running back actually gets the ball, who else would you have liked to get?

McDougle is gone? thank you.

I actually thought McDougle had a decent preseason. Then again, he was always in against 2nd and 3rd stringers. The Soul could use him though.

About Birds' Eye View Blog

Bob Brookover, left, is in his seventh year of covering the Philadelphia Eagles after spending 15 years covering the Philadelphia Phillies for the Inquirer and two other newspapers. The 45-year-old Brookover lives in Delran with his wife Francine and roots for Notre Dame and Michigan State, the two schools attended by his children, Justine and Ryan. When Notre Dame plays Michigan State, he cheers for the school of the child he likes more at that particular moment.

Jeff McLane, right, joined the Eagles beat in April 2009 after two years of covering colleges, namely Penn State football. Before that he covered high school sports for The Inquirer. Before that he worked in the mailroom (not quite). Informed that his father is no longer covering the Lions, McLane's eldest, three-year-old son said, "You mean Simba, Scar and Mufasa, Daddy?" His two-year-old son -- excited about the move to the Eagles -- said, "Go, Deigo, Go!" or something like that. His wife of five-plus years, however, had a different take on the new job. "Another five years is in question," she said. Check out McLane on Twitter and Facebook for instant updates on the Eagles.
