Snow on way for your commute

A cold front moving in from western Pennsylvania will bring snow this morning but, for a change, it won't amount to much.

The National Weather Service is calling for snow mostly before 1 p.m. with a high of about 31. For Philadelphia, that shouldn't amount to much more than an inch.  Some other areas northwest of the city, however, could see a bit more.

If the snow isn't noteworthy, the cold will be.  A succession of cold fronts are expected to move through the next few days into the weekend with temperatures remaining at or a few degrees above freezing.

Lows tonight will be frigid, reaching about 14.

Thursday should be mostly sunny with a high of 34, and with wind gusts of up to 36 mph.  Lows will plunge to 11.

Friday will be even colder with a high of 25 and low of 18.

Saturday - although cloudy - will bring some relief with a high nearing 40.
