Larry Eichel reports that Barack Obama will give what his campaign is billing as "a major address on race, politics and unifying our country" in Philadelphia Tuesday morning. The event, is not open to the public. The timing is interesting. On Friday, Obama issued a statement and gave television interviews in which he disassociated himself from remarks made from the pulpit by his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, remarks that were widely viewed as inflammatory and racial. Read the full Inquirer story.

Sen. HIllary Clinton will be holding her own event in City Hall at 1:30 p.m. Billed as offering "leading voices for bringing our troops home" it is in the Mayor's Conference Room, which means its pretty much closed to everyone but invited guests and the press.  Then she will be off to Millersville University for an evening town meeting.

Will his right hand man, I mean spiritual adviser, The Rev.Jeremiah Wright be there as well? He would be a great warmup act, to get the crowd all pumped up.

Awesome! Later Bill Clinton will speak about marital fidelity, and Rosie O'Donnell will speak about diet and exercise. I certainly hope that all of g-d racist America will atone for the sins that are keeping him and his wife from paying back their loans for their multiple Ivy League degrees and the mortgage on their million dollar house.

Rev Wright is not running for President. And Obama is not "channeling" Rev Wright either. Since when does your Spiritual advisor become your right hand man??

This will be an intersting speech. Senator Obama is among those of us most able to speak to the topic. With several "sides" of the racial/religious issue literally in his family, he is a unique position to understand the stresses we all wrestle with. Hard to imagine the man as a "racist" himself despite the hyperbole of the supportes of the other candidate (present company included). Given his parents, who is he going to racist against - his mother or his father?

I am more turned off by this new found patriotism - it is patronizing. Today photo opps between 2 american flags and then ended his speech with God Bless America which he does not usually do. Does he really think we are that dumb? Hillary for President and to take back this economy.

The Reverend may have caused a headache for the Obama campaign but I don't see how this sugarplum of a story helps us avoid $4 a gallon gas. Baracks economic plan and and earnest effort to get our country back on track. Quite honestly I'm not voting for a candidate who comes from the better church.

Plus Barack isn't accepting PAC or Lobbyist money. So when he arrives on "DAY ONE" he won't be owing any favors to anyone.

No, he'll only owe favors to his glossy-eyed sycophants who are convinced that the day he gets into office everyone will have free health care and every troop will be miraculously beamed back to the USA.

Jeremiah Wright is his "mentor" LOOK UP THE WORD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfNEfEBYIZs In addition to his mentor/uncle, there are more problems with OBAMA as our nominee See www.taylormarsh.com

Spiritual mentor, not economics, not foreign policy, not education, etc. Spiritual mentor. What Wright may say has nothing to do with how Obama will govern. A couple of sermons out of a 30-year ministry is not enough to condemn a church member who does not agree with those statements.
