Lehigh University investigating sexual assault report

Lehigh University is investigating a reported sexual assault on the Bethlehem, Pa. campus on Friday, the university announced Monday.

A woman, who was not a Lehigh student, reported the assault to the university's police department at 1:45 a.m. claiming the assault occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. Thursday at the Richards residence hall, according to a university safety bulletin. The woman claimed the perpetrator was an acquaintance.

No arrests have been made.

Jordan Reese, university spokesman, said he could not comment further on the matter, but indicated the university continues to investigate the matter.

In January, a student reported a sexual assault to police, but opted not to press charges.
