It’s Official: Bonnie is Guilty
Philadelphia Daily News
Suspended Drexel University senior Jocelyn Sarah Kirsch pleaded guilty this morning to a litany of charges related to her involvement in an identity-theft scam with her former boyfriend, Edward Kyle Anderton.
Kirsch, 22, who has ordered detained July 2 because, according to her lawyer Ron Greenblatt, it made sense for her to begin serving time because she faces a mandatory minimum of two years, was charged with aggravated identity theft, conspiracy, access-device fraud, bank fraud and money laundering. Prosecutors have said she will face six-to-seven years for her crimes.
The photogenic half of the “Bonnie and Clyde” duo will probably receive more time than Anderton, 25, because she was caught and later admitted to swiping a credit card from a fellow Starbucks employee in California. She used the credit card to buy items at IKEA store and, in an unrelated whim, rode off with a $2,000 bike from a shop in Lafayette, California. Moraga Police are still investigating the case.
U.S. District Judge Eduardo C. Robreno ordered Kirsch to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
Anderton pleaded guilty June 2 to the same charges and faces about five years in a federal prison.
