Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel was listed as doubtful for Thursday night's game against Arizona because of a neck stinger.
Samuel was injured in the Eagles' loss to Baltimore last Sunday and has not practiced this week.
That is bad news for a secondary that has just one interception in its last four games and is facing a high-powered Cardinals offense led by Kurt Warner with a deep passing game that features Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston and Jerheme Urban.
The Cardinals are second in total offense at 390.7 yards per game (New Orleans is first at 411.9) and second in passing yardage at 309.6 yards per game (New Orleans is also first there at 319.5).
Lito Sheppard would start if Samuel cannot play.
"When you have a group of receivers that this cat is throwing the ball to, not taking anything away from him, but if you look at the routes, if you look at some of the passes, he’s putting things right on the money," Brian Dawkins said of Warner. "Those guys don’t have to do anything but catch the ball and continue to run, so obviously he’s putting the ball where it needs to be ... I think for a couple of years there his confidence might have been a little down, a little shaky. People were talking about, he’s fumbling the ball too much and all that stuff, but now he’s not doing that as much and he’s putting the ball in his playmakers’ hands.”
Running back Correll Buckhalter, who has said he will not play because of a knee injury, is listed as doubtful.
Brian Westbook is listed as questionable because of knee and ankle injuries but practiced for the first time this week on Wednesday. He was listed as questionable last week as well and played against the Ravens.
Defensive lineman Darren Howard practiced Wednesday after not practicing Tuesday and is listed as probable. Howard injured his neck against Baltimore.
For the Cardinals, former Eagles cornerback Rod Hood could be a game-time decision because of injured ribs.

Thought this was interesting from the Arizona Republic about how the teams are dealing with the short week of preparation. Both the Eagles and Cardinals coaches were doing some film work on each other even before they had played their games last Sunday.
ever notice the Eagles are as scary as a cloudy day. usual just a sprinkel and not much else. osi is hurt boohoo
Suck it up dude! You are getting $50 million for exactly this type of game! scars73
Since the Eagles season is over I can put all my attention on my fantasy team. Warner is gonna light it up. 8-8 here we come! Done
As a fan, I too am doubtful for this game... rothstein12
Done: How the in the world do you get to 8-8 with an existing tie on your record? Which hell hole South Jersey high school gave you a diploma? warbird
Comment removed.
8/8 THAT'S A REAL WISH. MORE LIKE 6/9/1. THE REAL QUESTION ABOUT THIS SEASON IS WHO WILL BE HEAD COACH FOR GAME #16. REID SHOULD BE LONG GONE BY THE LAST WEEK OF THIS SEASON. JACK V
DONE: MORE LIKE 6-9-1. REAL QUESTION ABOUT THE REST OF THIS SEASON IS; WHO WILL BE HEAD COACH FOR GAME #16, REID SHOULD BE LONG GONE BY THEN. JACK V
Are any of the starters playing in this game? That really should give McNabb a fighting chance. It is hard to believe that we are in this current situation. Can Reid come up with a game plan the Cardinals are't expecting? I wonder!!!! samafja
What do you mean they can't go 8-8 .... what games can end in ties?!?! Done
The Cards lost to the Giants a week ago with 37 to 29. I think the Giants are a well oiled machine so I certainly don’t see the Eagles stopping Arizona’s offence regardless of how many sacks the Eagles may get on a good day. And the Eagles problems defensively allowing the Ravens a runaway win and offensively well...29-10 Cardinals. epalmer
I'd love to have the paper bag concession at the Linc tomorrow night. No extra charge for eyeholes. rhawnhurster
i can't believe I'm gonna miss thanksgiving dinner to go down to the Linc and watch this mess of a team! K_Ball
If they do go for the tie, does that mean a 1/2 and another 1/2 could make them 8 -1/2 - 8 - 1/2..? wes
warbird, i moved outta philly when i was younger and lived in south jersey before coming back, and have lots of friends there, and theyre probly bigger phila sport fans than you, so shut your face before i do it for ya, obviously was a mistake, anyways, without asante, we need to put a big hurting on warner, and our offense NEEDS, to step the HE** up tomorrow night, go birds ! aint giving up hope yet Will.i.Am
