Commuter alert: Water main floods busy Rt. 70

A water main break flooded busy Route 70 this morning, and the water started freezing in parts, forcing the closure of two lanes at a busy stretch of Cherry Hill, Camden County, this morning.

The break near the Penn Avenue intersection was in front of the Subuaru headquarters and between two major shopping complexes: the Garden State Racetrack and Garden State Pavillions.

Police closed two lanes running eastbound after the break occurred shortly after 3 a.m.

The only good news: Most of the heavy rush hour traffic flows west, toward the bridges and Philadelphia.
