Gas leak capped after disrupting PATCO service in Camden

Continuing problems with a gas leak in Camden disrupted PATCO service through rush hour.

PATCO service was suspended in both directions between the Ferry Avenue and Broadway stations early this afternoon, because of the leak at 10th Street and Newton Avenues.

NJ Transit buses (Nos. 453, 451 and 403) were shuttling riders between the stations during the interruption of service.

Riders could take trains between the Lindenwold and  Ferry Avenue stations, and from the Broadway station to stops in Philadelphia.

UPDATE: As of 5:30 pm, the gas leak has been capped and service has been restored.
