Samuel and Bell pull hammys

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- A day after DeSean Jackson was carted off the field at Eagles training camp, cornerback Asante Samuel and running back Mike Bell had to be taken off the field via cart.
The team said both suffered hamstring strains.
"I'm not a mad scientist," Samuel said after practice. "I might be out there tomorrow."
Bell left the locker room with his entire leg wrapped. Asked for an update on the injury, "He said, 'I'm alright.'"
During 7-on-7 drills, Bell caught a pass from quarterback Kevin Kolb out on the flat and turned up field as he ran away from linebacker Keenan Clayton. As he accelerated, he let out a yell and immediately grabbed the back of his thigh.
Bell fell to the ground on the sidelines where he was treated by the Eagles training staff. As he got into the cart he yelled a few words not printable for the Internet.
Bell, who was acquired in the off-season as a restricted free agent, had impressed thus far at camp. He's a hard running, north-to-south back that was expected to complement starter LeSean McCoy.
Guard Max Jean-Gilles and center A.Q. Shipley also suffered injuries during the afternoon practice. Jean-Gilles, who had lap band surgery in April, left because of dehydration, the team said, and Shipley had an ankle sprain.
Wats up with the Eagles these last couple of days. Thank God the Eagles have alot of depth at the RB Position and they traded for Arrington. Hopefully Bell will be alright. briandawkins20
Didn't they play this song LAST year??? TBear
Injuries, Injuries. Can we go one day, just one day that reporters dont have to report an injury out of training camp. These guys need to work there hamstring muscles more or something because I am tired of reading about injuries to this football team. briandawkins20
Concerned? It's like I check the sports to see who got injured not the scores! bossrjc
It seems like the Eagles lose one guy a year during camp. And they are always getting banged up. That's why they don't hit their stride til late in the year. They need half a season to recover from camp. Reid, once again, may want to rethink his ways. realzeel
How about drafting a trainer who knows how to keep guys limber? These are noncontact drills! HighDrama- Jeez Louise, they're dropping like flies out there. Wondering what their stretch routine is before practice. Don't underestimate the positive effects of proper stretching!!!!! (by the way, no Ryan Howard, no World Series)
These millionaire athletes are "supposed" to be in top shape. Why do they get non-contact injuries so easily? It amazes me how these guys can sometimes go through a whole season without an injury but then get seriously hurt in training camp without even any contact. My first impression of that is that they don't keep in proper condition during the off season and aren't really ready to go when training camp starts. SteveS11
i will withhold my comment until my uncle doodoo speaks, i must follow the chain of command lowthrowmcblow
I don't know, I don't think there are any words that aren't printable in the in Internet duder
I guess they are fragile, or are sissies and go out whenever they have an ache or a pain. I wish they would hit the opposition this hard. doc35
Look at all the teams in the NFL. Injuries everyday. Tough game. I'm sure many of these injuries happen during the season and we see them back on the field each week. But in camp, you are are more concerned with getting them ready for the season ahead. hawk18
Did they fall down and get a boo boo? They are not eagles, they are baby chicks. nutterbutter
Too much information. Anthony77
can't waiat to go to an 18 game schedule.....there will be nobody left standing....way to go owners......more loot for you....and backups playing games at the end of the season not the beginning... nuggett
Hey McLane, how is Donovan doing in St. Louis???? jakelbi
Anyone yet realize this is preseason and nothing wrong with laying there when you get a bit banged up and give the impression you have an injury especially if you are a veteran. As AI said it's only practice and relatively early. steve19149

Wait, don't tell me...Asante Samuel finally tried to wrap up someone instead of bump tackling and sprained an arm...right?? downtheshore- Holy smokes! These guys don't even have a six-week, Dick Vermeil-type summer camp anymore and they're dropping like flies! I thought these players were supposed to be in better shape than players that came before them?
- This year's Eagles are going to suck big time.
It's all about not being in shape at this point of the year. You see this from every team, not just the eagles...luckily they dont seem serious. Relax people. EaglesBleedMoney
