Mari Schaefer reports:
9:15 a.m.
Voting records seem sure to fall today in the critical Philadelphia suburbs. Already, 136 voters have cast their ballots at the Ardmore United Methodist Church. Judge of elections Kristina Shore said the typical primary draws less than 200 voters in a FULL DAY.
She called the turnout “astronomical.”
Voters appeared to be splitting their support evenly between Sens. Clinton and Obama. That makes sense. Ardmore is a mix of working class voters who tend to vote Clinton and the higher-income types who generally lean Obama. The town also has one of the larger African American populations on the Main Line.
:The suburbs: Will they vote for yesterday or today. I voted for Today, I voted for Unity, I voted for Guts. If Hillary had guts she would of ran in 2004.
Thirsting for leadership that Hillary has not provided in 8 years.
The guy has not proposed anything significant into legislation since he became Senator. Obviously you fell for his rhetoric. With all the trees he's killed printing literature, I'm sure some could easily be brainwashed.
I'll bet that's quite a scene... All those Main Liners getting out of their Range Rovers, Lexus' and Mercedes to go vote for a couple of socialists!!!

Hillary 2008, if she doesn't win then McCain
Socialists? Wow you know nothing about political systems. Thats just as entertaining as the people that call Bush a fascist.
I live on the Main Line, and I can assure you that there are many who don't drive Lexus, Mercedes, or Range Rovers - we drive to the polls in our ordinary cars. Delaware Vol seems to brush everyone with a very broad stroke - not very bright - must be a Republican.
I CAN'T TAKE ANOTHER 8 YEARS OF A CLINTON OR A BUSH...IF SHE WINS..IT OWUL DBE 28 YEARS OOF A BUSH OR CLINTON. USE YOUR HEAD...VOTE CHANGE
Please PA, end this now. Barack Obama for president. He has already won it, she just won't quit the race. At least Huckabee had sense not to throw good money after bad.
stuuuddering fool? come on folks! This is foolish. Obama will win the nomination, and if he doesn't the young, and blacks will stay home. They will feel robbed. Futhermore, the black voting block is the most reliable voting block of any party. It would be a huge mistake for anybody to overturn what will eventually be Obama's nomination. You may not like him, but he out performed Hillary. But unity is important. As much as I dont care the Clintons, her as VP is more likely. They both bring voting blocks that will make it a sure win. Many say they wont run together. But those who say that underestimate the power of POWER.
HC threatened to obliterate Iran on tv last night. Not even Bu$h has gone that far.

Question # 1: If every Presidential loser in the last 40 years would have won, and every winner lost, how much would your life be really different than it is now? Question # 2: Why bother? Reality fact # 1: The top 5 % of the wealth in this country pulls the strings. Reality fact # 2: Once the strings are removed from one puppet, they are applied to the other. Reality fact # 3: Race, gender, and party affiliation mean nothing. The strings fit all sexes, colors and parties.
The puppeteers remain the same.
You know what all you partisans are missing. Ultimately it's an exciting day for democracy. If we have record turnout it really doesn't matter, people are engaged again in their electoral process and that's the best gift that these candidates have given us. I say three cheers for all of us Pennsylvanians.
Obama-Drexel Hill!
Hillary all the way ... she's a much stronger candidate all around. I trust her with the big decisions. In the Senate, she has accomplished much more while Obama has been phoning it in while he runs for President. She has actually been a "uniter" by working with Republicans in the Senate, even those who opposed the Clinton Presidency. She just got an endorsement from a former enemy. And she can take the heat. I don't want someone who crumbles whenever the slightest challenge arises. Go Hillary !
Has Stev actually listened to John McCain or looked into his policies? Night and day from anything Clinton or Obama have on their platforms. How can anyone swing from Clinton/Obama to McCain so easily? I don't get it...
When people decide to be more active politically like they are now, we can bring about real change. Fizzy the strings you mentioned are real and pulled by lobbyist. Lobbyist decide for us, on healthcare, gun control, taxation codes, big oil and about everything else. So yes, it's time to get rid of the puppets, and the only candidate ready to make the change is Obama. Clinton offers us solutions to some key problems, but not a fundamental change. Bless her heart she means well and thought this would be an easy race--however this is more than the old politics and effecting change with 51% of the majority -- this about a new movement in a different direction. Obama's vision is that of an America we can be proud off. We want to forge alliances internationally not go around issuing threats and decrees.

Josiem, your "ordinary" cars---you mean your Jaguars?
Lefties can have as much fun as they want to today - November will be a landslide in favor the the only true American in this race....John McCain (former POW)!!!!!
Do we really want Bill Clinton running around the White House again? Vote Barack and start to change the way in the USA!!!
I just went to vote over at the church by 13th and Spruce. I had to pass a small contingent of Johnny Doc's army of thugs, but I made it. I also got interviewed on AUSTRALIAN television. I am so glad I went to the gym and fixed my hair before I went to cast my ANTI-DOC ballot. Aussies are hawt and I hope they think I am, too!
Whom ever wins, let's unit behind a Democrat. The issues are too important. We can not let McCain continue Bush.
Yes, God forbid another Republican gets elected. Who wants lower taxes and national security? Let's just raise taxes so we can give all our hard earned money to the lazy poor people of this country! That makes all the sense in the world, MORONS!
A vote for Obama is a vote for McCain. :(
I voted over at Penn Valley Elementary School before I left for work this morning around 7AM. I have never seen it so busy before!!! I used to just be able to go, be first in line and get in-and-out in less than 5 minutes. Today? - I waited over 15 minutes to vote. There were like 20 people in front of me and 20 people in back of me. Parking was scarce!
I think "Astronomical" accurately describes the turnout on the main line...
I can't vote for a street thug!!!

McCain is the only true American in this race who understands national security is not just a politcal talking point but the most critical issue we face today!
go Pennsylvania and excercise your right to vote
The people espousing that John McCain is the only candidate that understands national security are misguided. They need to recognize that national security is more than "taking it to them over there" with military action. More important is honest and open diplomacy to recognize and eliminate threats to us before they materialize into attacks. The neo-con theory of preemption is causing more harm than good by encouraging disgruntled youth living in poverty in Islamic or Arab nations to view us as their enemy. If we reach out to these populations we once again can be seen as the moral leader of the world. Obama especially has shown that he intends to approach foreign policy in a different way than the Bush administration and differently than McCain has implied he would run things.

This is Barack after Pennsylvania!!

Someone please explain to "flemingkj" that it was Billary and the lazy Democrats in office for the years leading up to 9/11 who practiced the misguided principles of "honest and open diplomacy to eliminate threats against us before they attack". The 19 extremists who hijacked our planes as well as the thousands of others who now hide in caves from us are not interested in your sit-downs to discuss diplomacy. Wake up and embrace the new world.
