Andrews a no-show

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Guard Shawn Andrews was not on the practice field this morning as the Eagles resumed training camp at Lehigh University.

A team spokesman said Andrews was not yet at training camp and coach Andy Reid would address the two-time Pro Bowl guard's situation after practice. Andrews has missed all of training camp while battling depression. He was evaluated by doctors Thursday and Friday.

In other news, cornerback Asante Samuel returned to practice for the first time since July 26. Samuel had been out with a strained right hamstring. His return left Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown rotating at right cornerback with the first-team defense.

Meanwhile, offensive tackle Tra Thomas left practice and Todd Herremans moved to left tackle and veteran defensive tackle Kimo von Oelhoffen was released. The Eagles replaced von Oelhoffen by signing rookie free agent Mike Marquardt, who is also a defensive tackle.
